With any author there's going to be one or two books that just don't measure up to the others. With Melina Marchetta that was Looking for Alibrandi, with John Green it was Paper Towns. With Rainbow Rowell, it's Landline.

Don't get me wrong, everything I said about this author in Fangirl still stands true. Rainbow Rowell writes interaction and men amazingly well. They're all even better because they're flawed, and flaws make them real.

I think it's more that the story itself didn't reach out and grab me until the last chapter. In that last chapter I was crying, so it gets points for that.

Also, I really really think that she's making a sequel to my favorite of hers, Eleanor & Park. I am really really excited for that.
