Gameboard of the Gods
I am such a traitor... I got to 33% in this book and just couldn't continue.
What was missing for me? The humor and quick wit that we saw with Georgina, Eugenie and Rose. The characters were mostly dry. And while I enjoyed Justin more, neither one was enough to keep my interest.
I was also bored. I fully take responsibility for this. I think the religion and futuristic Sci-Fi just was not for me. I am sure that others will feel differently, and I wouldn't argue with them. I still think Mead is a great author. She just chose a plot-line that I personally struggle reading.
I'll definitely be looking out for others opinions on this book and perhaps it'll make me want to pick it back up. I've been wrong before. I was bored with Monstrumologist too and a friend told me to keep at it and in the end I gave it four stars.
For now, though, I have to let it go.
