What is it about these books that make them so much fun!? They aren't literary perfection. So much about them was clichéd... so why when I start one does it consume me? I could not put this book down, started and finished in a day.

Gabriel broke my heart. The way that he was so down on himself and it felt like everyone else was down on him too. I just wanted to beat everyone up for him. 

Hunter and Gabriel were awesome; please oh please let them still be friends as the story progresses.

I liked Layne a bit more than I liked Becca. And I really liked Simon.

The only thing that I think bothered me was that Layne's scars were healed. I understand they were trying to show the strength of the blood with the elements, but I think having her live would have been sufficient. I wasn't really pleased that Layne miraculously lost her scars, because it was just too perfect. I thought it was beautiful that Gabriel loved her anyway, thought she was beautiful anyway.

Overall, excellent series. Love it. June 2013 is too damn far away.
