He rolled over, his face now inches from mine.

I moved my head away. "Get away from me, I stink."

"You don't stink. You smell like Perry."

"That's gross."

"Baby, I could drown in your scent.

"I looked at him askance and saw the gravity in his hooded eyes. He was totally serious.

"But," he went on, voice low and rough, "if you need to get clean from head to toe, I'm offering my tongue."

Mmmmmm-my god, that man is delicous! How does Perry resist him? I couldn't. I wouldn't want to! And the more she did the more frustrated I got with her. Without even getting into the events in Into the Hollow, because oh how bad do I want to rant, his actions in On Demon Wings proved how deeply he cared about her. He didn't just come rescue her, he followed her into the Thin Veil at risk to his own life and soul and he tracked her through their connection bringing her out! He risked jail to take her where she needed to go and get better, and he loved and comforted her every step of the way. The measure of a man should not be assessed based on one moment, but on the balance of his actions overall! And Dex showed Perry his love over and over again.

But don't worry folks, there's light at the end of this tunnel, and it is soooo good. I can only imagine that what will happen in Come Alive, book 7, will be heaven sent. I need this NOW!!!

"I love you Perry," he whispered, mouth moving in my hair. "I love you so fucking much. And I'm losing myself. I'm losing myself to you and I don't care anymore because there's never been a better feeling in the whole fucking world. I love you. So much. Too much. Always."
