Anna Dressed in Blood

Wow! This book actually scared me... I mean, clutching my blankets-eyes darting around-breathing hitched, scared me. I went down into my basement to change over the laundry, and the lightbulb was burnt out and I actually called someone to talk to because I was so freaked out and waiting for... well I wont go on, I don't want to spoil it.
Cas was totally awesome. He was hot, but he was also written well; meaning that he wasn't too perfect, or smart. He was skinny (self-proclaimed), and he was a bit emo, but he was also tough and confident. I really liked him. Anna was dark and creepy, but she was also sad and vulnerable. They really did make a really great combination.
My only complaint would be that I felt like it could have been two books. I know, I know, I love me some drawn out stories... but honestly, like the first 60% of the book could have been one story, and the second 40% could have been elaborated into a second story. I think if it had been done this way everything would have felt so much more dramatic. So, in the vein of alot of YA paranormal's, this one felt a tad bit rushed.
Still, I really really really liked it. The cover is gorgeous, the ink is blood red... the story was scary and tragic. It's another one of those Para-Ya's that help us over look ones like The-book-that-must-not-be-named, and the copycats.
Plus, bonus! It looks GREAT on my bookshelf!
