Secrets (PsyCop, #4)

Secrets (PsyCop, #4) - Jordan Castillo Price I really like to review a book as soon as I finish it. The reason being, because all of my emotions and thoughts (good or bad) are all right there on the surface and it's easier to tap into them. I feel like my best reviews come this way... but I couldn't put this book down last night. I read straight up until I finished it at midnight last night. Needless to say I had already turned my computer off and gone to lay in my bed, and with work looming the next morning there was no way I was getting up and typing up this review. So here goes, after the fact: I love PsyCop. I know I say that every time I read one, I rave about how good they are, but the truth is DAMN, these are GOOD!When every time your boss walks by on your break and you're reading, and she stops each time to tease you because you're smirking and snickering (or giggling and swooning) into the pages... you've got a gooood book. There isn't a character in this series that I don't love. Vic is so real, his reactions are so right. We got to see a bit of what makes Jacob tick, and a part of him that isn't so polished. Jacob loves Vic in such an intense way that even as the reader you're feeling weak in the knees. And it's obvious, because you're in Vic's head, that he loves Jacob that way too. Yet, just like in real life you know that there are real issues in their relationship. Jacob is a bit too secretive, and his obsession with psychics sends off my warning bells. But still, I would be devastated if they split up. But even still, you can't help but wonder what it would be like for Vic to give in just once with Crash... because Crash... oh my god, he's delicious! After Secrets my plan was to start Everfound, but Secrets ended with me still so much involved and a cliffhanger on top of that! I didn't move on to Camp Hell, but it was pathetic watching me pick up Everlost, then put it down and pick up Camp Hell, then put it down again! In the end I'm forcing myself to wait because I only have 2 more books in the PsyCop series before I'm stuck until she releases a new one. And as of now there hasn't been a title, or a release date or anything... I don't even have a goal date! One last note, I own most of this series in ebook form. But I decided yesterday that I'm buying them in print, because I want to loan them to friends and have them on my bookshelf for the rest of my life. PsyCop is a MUST READ series!
